Career orientation up close - application portfolio check at Hollenbach secondary school

On Monday, July 14, 2025, HAIMER visited the students of the 8th grade of the partner school of the Mittelschule Hollenbach to actively support them in their professional orientation. The focus of the visit was the application portfolio check, a practical contribution to preparing them for their entry into professional life.

After a brief introduction to the company, the young people got straight down to practical work: How do you create a convincing application? What information should be included in a cover letter and what should be included in a CV? And what do companies look for when making a selection?

In addition to career-focused input on how to put together a professional application, the pupils were given helpful tips on choosing a career and on targeted research into job profiles and apprenticeships.
