HAIMER strives to make meaningful partnerships. On March 1, 2000, one of HAIMER’s future distributors opened their doors. When Four State Industrial Supply began, they wanted to focus on selling cutting tools, abrasives, machine tooling and fasteners while providing high quality customer service. This focus and drive has caused Four State to expand to four locations, including Wichita, Kansas.
Brad Adams, Account Manager, is based at the Wichita location. He has been with the company for nine years and was there when their partnership with HAIMER began in 2014. At first, like any business relationship, it started off slow. However, over time, business began to increase and within 18 months, Four State became a full distributor of HAIMER products. Seeing this partnership grow in front of Brad’s eyes made him realize that traditional distribution still works in the industry. “We see HAIMER as a partner,” explained Brad. “Knowing we will get all of the support that we need on the back end has definitely been a huge benefit for us.”

The Perfect Match
Four State and HAIMER work well together because of shared similarities in both companies. When looking at Four State’s website, they clearly tell the visitor, “The greatest asset Four State has is its people.” Meanwhile, when you look at the walls in HAIMER’s North American Headquarters, it clearly reads, “The human being is and stays the center in our corporation.” There are numerous benefits a distributor receives when working with HAIMER. One of them is having access to HAIMER’s incredible team. “We’ve been able to grow leaps and bounds with HAIMER,” states Brad. “Part of that is because of the technical support we get, both locally and nationally.”
Numerous times, Brad pointed to the sales team and manufacturing representatives at HAIMER. “I like to think that we are as professional as anybody and without a question, HAIMER certainly is, from the top down,” stated Brad. “The folks I have met and dealt with have been wonderful, professional and technical.” Brad explained how HAIMER employees are now his go-to people. He feels comfortable approaching them about any problem that may arise.
The Benefits of Training
One of the other great programs offered at HAIMER is the HAIMER Competence Center Partner (HCCP) Training. HCCP is a partnership program which provides exclusive benefits including comprehensive classroom and hands-on technical sales training. Multiple times throughout the year, Haimer USA offers a two-day training where attendees learn about the products via lectures, videos and live demonstrations.
Brad was able to attend a training at the Villa Park office a little over a year ago and spoke highly of the experience. “I deal with these products on a daily basis but I really haven’t had a lot of hands-on experience myself,” said Brad. “So just being able to spend some time around the product was worthwhile.”
The best compliments a company can receive are referrals. When Brad returned after the training, he shared his experience with his co-workers and convinced them to attend a training session at HAIMER. “We’ve all come back with such a positive feedback and got quite a bit out of it,” explained Brad. “Not only was the technical part, but the hands-on part of the training was really helpful for the few of us who have been able to attend.” Brad was happy to share that Four State is making it a priority to send even more sales representatives to future trainings.
HAIMER prides themselves in equipping their training attendees with tools to help them help their customers. “The comfort feeling that I left with really helped me with my customers after the fact,” described Brad. “Everybody sells what they are comfortable talking about.” At the trainings, attendees learn how the HAIMER products are made in an automated state of the art production facility in Germany and go through a double 100% inspection. The HAIMER inspection processes ensure that HAIMER products are of high quality and our technology is ahead of the industry. Every year, HAIMER invests about 8% into research and development.
