With quality products all around the machine tool, the HAIMER GmbH company developed from a small job shop to an innovative Global Player within 45 years. With a continuous and sustainable growth the family-owned company established itself as the world-market leader for shrinking and balancing technology as well as the European market leader for tool holding and as a leading supplier of presetting technology.
The HAIMER Company - founded by Claudia and Franz Haimer as a typical job shop on the 1st of March 1977 - has been on the market with its own products since 1987. Nowadays HAIMER acts as a system partner for the complete tool management. In addition to the large offering of tool holders, including shrinking and balancing machines, as well as 3-D Sensors and solid carbide cutting tools, the product offering also includes tool presetting machines. Out of the 800 people that the family-owned company currently globally employs, 500 work at the German headquarters in Igenhausen near Augsburg, Germany. On site the company philosophy "Quality Wins" is a daily practice for 45 years now. As an active apprenticeship employer with almost 50 apprentices, HAIMER has ever since been able to secure its future skilled employees and to fulfill its contribution to further educate young adults, as well as securing the future of our German production site.
Despite its commitment to "100% made in Germany" HAIMER has expanded its global presence and is active on all important metalworking markets with its 15 international sales and service subsidiaries. The production and assembly of HAIMER products still takes place exclusively in Germany with a very high level of vertical integration.
Five years ago, HAIMER integrated the Microset tool presetting technology into the company group. HAIMER Microset GmbH in Bielefeld complements the product portfolio and finally makes HAIMER the system partner for tool management all around the machine tool.
After the pandemic year 2020, HAIMER was able to achieve strong growth again in 2021, so that the turnover could build on the strongest years before Covid times. The global interest in the established HAIMER products is still unbroken and the solid carbide and modular milling tools have become growth drivers. Step by step HAIMER is expanding its product range with solutions for digitization and automation according to market requests. In addition to the HAIMER DAC (Data Analyzer & Controller) tool management system, an automated shrinking station was presented at EMO Milano 2021 with the Shrink Automation Cube, in which a cobot supports shrinking and unshrinking of cutting tools with high length repeatability.
For 2022, HAIMER plans to exhibit again at the well-known trade shows of the machine tool industry, expecting a backlog demand of many customers. At AMB Stuttgart, HAIMER will take part with a 300 square meter booth in hall 1. And at IMTS in Chicago, HAIMER USA is planning to show the latest trends and solutions for the North American market on over 500 square meters as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of HAIMER USA. Of course, at all shows, HAIMER will again point out why in the long run only „Quality wins“.
